The opioid crisis has impacted all areas of healthcare today. This program will outline key strategies in developing and implementing a comprehensive oversight program for the use of opioids in your facility.

Upon completion of this presentation, attendees should be able to:

Verbalize three resources that provide information for both caregivers, residents, and resident representatives on opioid use in the United States
Identify when opioid use for non-cancer chronic pain management outweighs the associated risks
Describe a program for comprehensive oversight for the use of opioids in the facility
