Geri-Res is a residency program for the new long-term care nurse, expertly developed at the Center for Aging Research and Education at the world-class University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing. Because we know that when nurses love what they do, and know they are doing it right, they’re greatly improving care and impacting lives. About RN Residency Course -- Assisted Living:
• Self-paced, online course will orient and further prepare the RN to become a highly-skilled and valued practitioner. • Enrollee receives 12-months access to the eighteen RN Resident modules and a toolkit of Geri-Res orientation and support materials. • Each module topic is approximately 1-2 hours to complete. It is strongly suggested a nurse complete no more than one module per week over 18 weeks.
PLEASE NOTE: Each facility must have a Geri-Res Clinical Coach before enrolling any nurses in the RN or LPN programs. The purchase of the Geri-Res Clinical Coach is required by one facility coach, in order to meet this requirement.
